Project comprises the construction of a kitchen with cafeteria within the University Psychiatric Clinic in Ljubljana, which provides sufficient capacity and quality of meals for patients and employees at the primary location of the clinic and its dislocated departments.
The design of the central kitchen with cafeteria is based on the optimization of the technological process of food preparation. The kitchen, cafeteria and staff rooms are arranged on the ground floor, which reduces the length of the necessary routes within the technological operations and thus improves the use of working time of employees and the required number of staff. On the first floor there are offices (purchasing, accounting, management) and an engine room. The utility yard is oriented into the existing perimeter wall of the plot, all manipulations are arranged under the overhang on the north side of the building.
The new structure follows the set composition of the UPK complex with the design of the pavilion in greenery, the views of the dining room with large glass surfaces open into the green surroundings.
