The longitudinal volume's
outer appearance echoes its functional scheme. Principal volume
houses a laboratory hall, flanked on the street side by a line
of smaller laboratoires and studies, partitioned from the large
hall with a glass wall. Larger height of these rooms allows
for various laboratory equipment installations. Th whole floor
can function either as an open-space office or a series of separate
cells, according to changing needs. The upper floor houses adminstrative
area and presentation rooms. The short side of the hall is flanked
by storage areas on the ground floor level and apartments for
for guest researchers on the upper floor. Volumes with different
identities, each housing a separate function, are structured
into a legible dynamic composition.
