The
vineyards lie in a beautiful valley that starts at the edge
of the woods on the north and levels out smoothly between two
gentle slopes. The cellar is positioned into the heart of the
valley and the vineyard, its form echoes the abstract linear
composition of the vineyard's slopes. A program line follows
the technological line of wine production, a physical line of
the front facade cuts into the soil. The route to the cellar
first leads through a wood, at its end, the first view of the
vineyard opens; it continues through another grove, with the
view of the building opening at its end. This level of the slope
offers a magnificent view of the plains as far as Croatia, a
scenic pathway leads across the hill to the building. Inside
the building, an introductional route leads the visitior through
the wine production process to the cellar and a degustation
area with a terrace, located on the upper floor. The staircases
to the east lead to a roof garden and two secluded apartments
at the far end of the building.
