Entry in an invited competition,
the structure is located just outside the historic town centre
of Ljutomer; the site borders on the single-unit-housing zone.
The scheme consists of two connected volumes. The smaller,
housing the town's Post Office, is a uniform volume wrapped
in copper sheath with pronounced vertical seams. The larger
volume is of triangular shape, organized around an open atrium
with connecting corridors. Glass clad ground floor houses
retail space and cafes, offices are located in the overhanging
volume of the upper floors. Its facade combines fixed-glass
bay windows and, positioned between them, aluminium doors
that open to provide natural ventilation.
