Sports hall is placed into surrounding space onto a platform as an autonomous volume at the junction of various programmes and geometries. Due to its floor-plan size and its connection to the principal public areas, the pedestal is converted from a building to part of the urban landscape. The wooden plinth's floor plan corresponds with surrounding urban activity, it is transformed into a volume with a grove of "sailboat" masts rising from the platform. They provide the composition with a firm frame into which the soft volume of the hall is inserted. Auditorium volume merges the energy of all visitors, what is important is the game and the people following it. The soft volume of the hall is supplemented by the lower level of roof construction with a parabolic raster of discs - sound reflectors, light and sound carriers.
